Shakti & the Vernal Equinox: Ignite Your Power
Springtime offers abundance and space for dusting off the literal and metaphorical cobwebs of our lives making space for transformation. In community, work, life we are constantly made to ingest the daily micro & macro aggressions of America, yet what goes undigested inevitably informs how we live out our daily practice of being in the world. For minoritized people this reality has become a part of our existence. Thus we truly begin to feel that sentiment from Civil Rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer: “I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired."
This workshop will take place the day before the Vernal Equinox igniting an opportunity to harness your power in tangible ways that inspire and transform your daily practices of living in the world.
In this workshop we will explore Shakti, the goddess of POWER. What is our connection to Shakti? In what ways can we harness this primordial cosmic force to diffuse daily transgressions making space for OUR visions and OUR dreams to become more fully realized? Through mantra, asana, guided relaxation and meditation you will cultivate a connection with Shakti that will inspire your Equinox intentions. There are many shaktis in the yogic tradition and each is a reminder of the innate power within each of us waiting to unfold. This practice is open to all levels. Please bring a journal and a pen.
